EU HTA: The Changing Global-Local Dynamic

The first batch of Joint Clinical Assessments (JCAs) under the EU HTA Regulation has landed. Until now, most of the conversation has focused on methodology and centralized processes. But a much more practical question is now landing on desks across Europe: what does this mean for local affiliates – and how will it change the relationship between global and local teams?

Short answer: more than most expected. As the JCA becomes the starting point for national HTA discussions across Europe, affiliates will need greater visibility of global evidence strategies, while global teams will increasingly rely on local expertise to shape and support successful assessments. Join Signum and a Global Market Access Lead as we discuss how this new two-way collaboration is taking shape – and what affiliates can do now to prepare.

  • A short introduction to the EU HTA Regulation and what the JCA process changes.
  • An open dialogue between Line Roesgaard Kantsø, Senior Consultant at Signum, and Niels Juul Brogaard, Global Market Access Lead at Novo Nordisk, on how companies are preparing for the JCA era.
  • Practical insights into how EU HTA is reshaping the relationship between global and local teams – and what this means for affiliates.
